It is a demanding process during which real estate professionals may pass through a candidacy period of up to five years. Your FRI is experienced; FRI members must be licensed and active in the practice of real estate with a minimum of five years of dedicated real estate experience. Your FRI is knowledgeable; FRI members have completed a number of real estate courses. These include Ethics and Business Practice, Real Estate Investment Analysis, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Valuation, Consumer Behaviour and Negotiating, and The Leasing Process or Legal Issues in Real Estate. In addition they must have completed three university level general business courses. Your FRI is a reputable, active member of the real estate community; FRI members have gained the endorsement of and are affiliated with their local REIC Chapter, and abide by the Institute's stringent code of ethics. Your FRI is committed; To maintain their designation, FRI members must remain in good standing with their local REIC Chapter and REIC National, and abide by the REIC Code of Professional Standards.
